That's why having a laptop is awesome, when you go on trips you can still game. Course you get funny stares and questions like ''Why are you playing games on Vacation?" but other than that, worth it.

Last year there were server issues happening just before the Festival, that carried on throughout it. That is the reason they redid it. So i very much doubt they will do it again.

Also like one of the guys on the first page said the previous 2007 festival started on the 6th and ended on the 8th. I'm going to guess this year it starts on the 4th and ends on the 6th.

I'll be at a rock festival then (www.rockwerchter.be) so i'll miss it too.

But as long as the collector npc for the hat being will be around for one week afterward, I'll at least have my hat ^^ (Anet, you better not forget that!!!)

PS: they should make a hat NPC that gives out hats for certain collectible items for 1 week after each event every time.

If it holds true with past years, we should get decorations on the 3rd (Thursday) and have the festival from the 4-6/7th of July.

well either way we should hear something is a few weeks....or nothing at all then we know they are skipping it altogether.

The Dragon Festival is currently scheduled for the beginning of July, so unfortunately the OP is going to miss out on it.
